About

One year and a few months ago I set out on a mission to workout for 365 days in a row while I documented it on this blog.  Buckets of sweat, countless lessons learned and hundreds of reader emails later, I finished my challenge.

It was a beautiful year that taught me the true importance of listening to my body and making health my number one priority.  Sou365-days-o-sweatnd a little selfish?  If you do not have your health, then you do not have your life.  It is that simple.

I have now embedded this message into my daily life and am healthier than I have ever been.  I still miss days of working out here and there, but I maintain a healthy exercising baseline.  I no longer have a gym membership and live by the motto, “the outdoors is my gym.”

Recently, I moved from the city of Denver to the suburbs, which has brought on a plethora of changes for suburbanites without children.  We adopted a dog to help out with the transition and it’s worked wonders.  Furry kids are really just a slow introduction to what life might be like with the non-furry kind.  Right?

Since the workout challenge is over, I am (semi) finished with writing about daily sweat.  From here on out the blog will primarily include life adventures, happiness induced writing and inspirational messages.  Join me as I fall in love with life.  I would love to witness you do the same.

xoxo,

Betsy

  6. Betsy,
I am very inspired by your blog that I have decided to take on your challenge! I started my own, and I sited your site in my first post. I am going to start on December 1st! I put my own twist on it and have decided to include daily devotionals to God or inspirations that I’ve seen in my day from Him. It’s a personal twist that will help me share what inspires and challenges me! I’m excited to take on this personal challenge and I thank you for following through with yours and completing it! Same as you, the blog is meant to help my friends and family keep me accountable- somebody has to! I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your year and for challenging yourself to do something different. Good job!

  8. Hi Betsy!
I, too, was so inspired by your blog (I read about it through lululemon’s website) and decided to try it out for myself. I am getting married in 2014 and thought it’d be a good idea to exercise everyday until my wedding. I am so inconsistent when it comes to working out, and thought this was such an amazing way to stay on track. So far, it has completely changed my life. And it’s only been 40-some days!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. You are such an inspiration!

    • Congratulations on your wedding and completing 40 days! It does become a bit addicting, doesn’t it? Are you blogging about your experience? Is there any way that I can support you on your journey?

Best of luck to you, I’ll be cheering you on!! xo
